Livingston deputies investigating shooting on Juban Rd.

DENHAM SPRINGS — Early reports are an argument between two people led up to a shooting in Denham Springs.

Authorities say Joshua Jermaine Stewart, 42, died Thursday as a result of the Wednesday evening shooting.

It happened around 5:30pm on Juban Rd. near Brown Rd.

Sources tell Unfiltered with Kiran two people in two separate vehicles got into an argument. When one of the people went up to the other vehicle and started pulling on the door handle, the occupant in that vehicle shot the man pulling on his car door.

Sources confirm a man was shot three times and transported to a hospital in at least critical condition.

The area was closed off to traffic as the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to investigate the incident. Both the person shot and the shooter were on scene when deputies arrived. The man shot was transported while deputies are questioning the other man.

It’s unknown at this time if any arrests have been made.
