DENHAM SPRINGS — A toddler shot on Monday morning is reported to be “critically stable,” according to an update Tuesday from the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 5, on Benelli Dr. in Denham Springs. Deputies responded to a call regarding an accidental shooting involving a two-year-old.
The toddler was transported to a hospital and is currently in the pediatric ICU.
“This case is sensitive in nature. Details are limited. Please be patient with our investigation,” said LPSO Sheriff Jason Ard. “This investigation is ongoing.”
It’s unclear at this time if anyone could face any charges.
