LPSO, Denham Springs PD searching for suspects in overnight vehicle burglaries

The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Denham Springs Police Department are asking for help in finding suspects involved in overnight vehicle burglaries.

Officials say the burglaries on the ‘unlocked’ vehicles happened near Hatchell Lane and Jason Drive between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m.

Authorities say at least two unidentified suspects were seen on area security cameras and at least one was armed.

The suspects were driving a white Ford Edge that was reported stolen through the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say while in Livingston Parish, the suspects left the truck and stole two other vehicles – a Toyota Avalon and a white Hyundai Coupe.

Anyone with information on this case is encouraged to call 225-686-2241 x1 or Capital Region Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-STOP (7867).

LPSO experts suggest the following safety measures for all Livingston Parish citizens:

  • Lock your vehicles
  • Remove/secure all valuables
  • If your home is equipped with motion lights, make sure they are in working order and pointed in the direction of your vehicles
  • If you have surveillance video equipment, make sure it’s set to record movement and that it’s pointed in the direction of your vehicles
  • Report any suspicious activity to LPSO at (225) 686-2241 ext. 1
