Three teens arrested in connection to deadly shooting in Springfield

The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office says three teenagers have been arrested after a deadly shooting in Springfield earlier this week. The motive behind the shooting is believed to have been a robbery, according to LPSO.

Two 19-yr-olds and a 17-yr-old were arrested thanks to multiple agencies coming together.

The shooting happened on Aug. 7th around 11am on Wisteria Lane. Cameron Fox, 25, of Springfield, died in the shooting.

Since the shooting, Lorenzo McFarland, 19, Laterrice Davis, 19, and a 17-yr-old juvenile have been arrested. The 17-yr-old’s name will not be released since he is considered a juvenile per the law.

McFarland is charged with first-degree murder & armed robbery. He is being held in East Baton Rouge Parish for now and will be transported to Livingston Parish’s Detention Center.

Davis is charged with principle to first-degree murder & principle to armed robbery. The 17-yr-old is charged with principle to first-degree murder and armed robbery.

“A senseless death & young lives ruined,” said LPSO Sheriff Jason Ard. “Tragic. Our investigation continues. And, more arrests are expected.’
