LPSO seizes 2,000 fentanyl-laced pills, arrests two

The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested two people after seizing 2,000 fentanyl-laced pills in Denham Springs.

LPSO narcotics agents received information about the possible distribution of fentanyl-laced pills. Agents secured a search warrant for a home on Fred Banks drive. Authorities arrested Joseph Collins, 19, and Montana Seals, 47.

“We all read the headlines about fentanyl. Even in small amounts, fentanyl is considered to be potentially deadly,” said Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard. “And, we have people mixing it with other drugs to make it even more potent. We hope that more of you will continue coming forward with information so that our Narcotics Agents can investigate & hopefully remove more from our streets.’

The investigation continues.

• $6,160 U.S Currency

• 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Joseph “Huey” Collins

• Distribution of schedule II CDS

• PWITD schedule II CDS

• Possession of marijuana

• Possession of a firearm in the presence of CDS

• Illegal carrying of weapon

• Possession of drug paraphernalia

Montana Seals

• Possession of marijuana

• Possession of drug paraphernalia
