LSU baseball to commemorate national title with event Wednesday at Alex Box

BATON ROUGE – LSU baseball will commemorate its 2023 national championship with a celebration at Alex Box Stadium – Skip Bertman Field Wednesday evening.

Admission is free, and the hour-long event is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. The gates will open an hour before the event begins.

There will be general admission for all non-premium areas. Food and beverages can be purchased inside the stadium. No outside food or drinks will be allowed.

In addition, LSU’s National Championship gear and merchandise will be available for purchase at Alex Box.

According to LSU athletics, free parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis in the Hall of Fame, Old Front Nine, Gourrier South, Levee South, and Hayfield Lots.

Wednesday’s celebration will include the presentation of the national championship trophy and a fireworks show at the end.

The ceremony will be live-streamed on Facebook Watch, YouTube, and the SEC Network+ for those who cannot attend.

The Tigers capped off its magical 54-win season with an 18-4 victory over Florida in Game 3 of the College World Series finals.

The Tigers earned 24 hits in the championship clincher, the most in any CWS game. Eleven Tigers recorded at least one hit in the game.

LSU won 11 of 13 games in the 2023 NCAA Tournament, sweeping Regional and Super Regional opponents in Baton Rouge.
