BATON ROUGE — LSU football player Javien Toviano has been arrested and charged with video voyeurism, UWK has learned.
In two occasions in July 2024, Toviano is accused of recording he and a woman having sex with a camera hidden in a clock, without the victim’s consent.
The victim told officials she found two videos on his iPad of them engaging in sex despite her telling him she did not consent to being recorded. The videos were from July 5 and July 6.
Sources confirm to UWK that Toviano turned himself into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Sunday, July 21, for the charge. He has since posted bond of $10,000 and a condition of his bond is that Toviano cannot have anything to do with the victim tied to the charge.
Toviano is a sophomore at LSU and is a cornerback for the football team. He’s from Arlington, Texas, and graduated high school in 2023 as “one of the nation’s top defensive backs for the Class of 2023.”
In his freshman year at LSU, Toviano played in 13 games in his starting season as an LSU Tiger. According to LSU, he played a total of 302 defensive snaps, had seven tackles in the game with Alabama and a season-high 11 in win the Tigers’ over Florida.
UWK has reached out to LSU for a comment on Toviano’s arrest.
