LSU holding vigil for Allie Rice, pick-up locations for bracelets

A vigil will be held at LSU in honor of LSU marketing senior Allison Rice, whose life was tragically cut short.

It will be Thursday, Sept. 29th at 6pm at the Greek Amphitheatre on campus. A few people will speak before a small candle lighting.

The vigil is open to the public.

Anyone watching the LSU game Saturday may have noticed the Golden Girls and some of the LSU cheerleaders wearing the yellow bracelets with “Live Like Allie.”

The bracelets arrive Tuesday, Sept. 27th that will be placed at various businesses in Baton Rouge for the public to pick up for free.

“Yellow was her favorite color and it’s bright and cheerful like she was,” said Allie’s aunt Susie Rice Granier.

A $50,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest(s) and indictment(s) of the individual(s) responsible for Allie’s death.

You can add to the pot by heading to any Citizens Bank and asking for the Allison Rice Memorial Fund.

Anyone with information on Allie’s death is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 344-STOP.
