BATON ROUGE — A Lyft driver brought a man to the hospital after he was allgedly shot several times by someone who walked up to his vehicle.
Police say the driver picked up the man to take him to work just before 7 a.m. Thursday when an unknown man walked up to the car.
The shooting happened at the intersection of Staring Ln. and Chandler Dr. The man is accused of firing off multiple shots at the passenger.
Sources tell UWK one bullet hit the victim in his rear and two shots hit him in the side. The Lyft driver took the victim to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The driver said a bullet is still lodged in the door of the vehicle.
