Man accused of driving car into home in an attempt to kill woman

PRAIRIEVILLE — Ascension Parish deputies arrested a man accused of driving a truck into a woman’s home in an attempt to kill her, according to the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrested Michael Ray Blair, 46, of Gonzales. Authorities charged Blair with attempted second-degree murder and aggravated criminal damage to property.

Officials say on Sept. 11 at around 4:50 a.m., deputies responded to reports of a truck that crashed into a home along Muddy Creek Road in Prairieville. When deputies arrived, the victim told deputies Blair drove his truck through her bedroom wall and left on foot.

Deputies learned later that Blair and the victim knew each other. Law enforcement found Blair at a medical facility and arrested him.

The investigation is ongoing.
