BATON ROUGE — A man accused of sexually abusing a child for years has now been arrested.
Roderick Lee, 44, was booked Wednesday with molestation of a juvenile, indecent behavior with a juvenile and sexual battery.
Lee is accused of manipulating the child into spending time with him and then sexually assaulting her, an arrest warrant outlined. The crimes allegedly started when she was 9-years-old.
The victim told deputies during her interview that she tried to resist, pushed Lee’s hands away from her and asked Lee to stop.
A medical exam provided physical evidence of the crimes, including injury to the victim and DNA, the warrant said. A rape kit found evidence of Lee’s DNA on her body, court records show. The DNA analysis did not specifically identify Lee as the attacker though.
Deputies began investigating the crimes in October.
