Man accused of shooting 31-yr-old 8 times in front of three children

Witness told deputies he heard victim say “Don’t shoot. There are kids in here” followed by multiple gunshots

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting death that may have taken place in front of three children on Toulon Dr.

Deputies found Jason Rosilez, 31, dead inside his apartment in a read bedroom. Deputies say they found three juvenile children in the same bedroom.

The shooting happened Saturday, Nov. 20th around 8pm.

Erron Joseph, 46, was arrested and charged with first degree murder and three counts of attempted first degree murder.

A witness told deputies that Rosilez had his gun pointed at Joseph in his doorway when Joseph allegedly shot Rozilez. The witness added that’s when Joseph allegedly went in his vehicle, retrieved a rifle caliber weapon and walked into the apartment through an open door.
