Man accused of stealing over $1,800 of merchandise from Polo store

GONZALES – The Gonzales Police Department asks for the public’s help identifying a man accused of stealing over $1,800 worth of merchandise from the Ralph Lauren Polo Store at Tanger Outlets.

Police say the man allegedly stole the merchandise between 7:53 p.m. and 8 p.m. on May 26.

Police say a store employee confronted the man as he was trying to exit the store with the merchandise. According to authorities, the man told the employee he had a knife.
