Baton Rouge Police arrested and charged a man Tuesday accused of killing his twin brother.
According to arrest documents, 56-year-old Timothy Pitts was arrested on a seccond-degree murder charge after his brother, Daniel Pitts died from his injuries on Sept. 29.
Authorities say the incident between the brothers happened on Sept. 16 at their home on Wallis Street. According to the arrest document, a witness told authorities that Timothy called her from Daniel’s cellphone. Timothy told the witness that Daniel “was not doing good, his eyes would not open.”
Daniel’s autopsy results on Sept. 30 revealed his caused of death was a homicide by blunt force trauma to the head and neck, according to the arrest affidavit.
Timothy was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
