The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a man accused of ramming into an LSPO unit, while trying to get away.
The deputies arrested Scott McGowan, 52, after he allegedly fled from sheriff deputies and steered into the unit two times, resulting in minor/moderate damage to both vehicles.
Authorities say the pursuit ended when McGowan got out of his vehicle and tried to run before an LPSO K-9 apprehended him.
McGowan was processed into the Livingston Parish Detention Center on warrants & multiple charges tied to the pursuit that includes:
- Aggravated flight from an officer
- Hit and run
- Resisting an officer (two counts)
- Assault/agg motor vehicle/Peace officer
- Switched license plate
- Viol of protective orders (contact), (three counts)
