BATON ROUGE — A man was arrested at his job on Thursday after East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated claims that he was distributing fentanyl at the body shop on Siegen Lane.
EBRSO Gang Intelligence and Enforcement Unit members conducted an investigation from December 2025 into January after receiving information that Trevoris Rhines was allegedly distributing fentanyl out of a body shop on Siegen Lane. Agents conducted surveillance and discovered two locations for the narcotics activity.
During their investigation, agents made two controlled purchases of fentanyl from Rhines at Collision Works on Siegen Lane, per EBRSO. Because of these controlled purchases, agents received search warrants for Collision Works and a garage apartment on Elm Drive, along with two vehicles used by Rhines.
GIE agents arrested Rhines when he arrived at work on Jan. 8. EBRSO SWAT then searched the Elm Drive building and SCAT searched Collision Works. The following seizures were the result of the warrants:
Seized Narcotics
• 9.5 grams of fentanyl (95 lethal doses)
• 12.25 ounces of crystal methamphetamine
• 5 grams of marijuana
• 1 digital scale (with methamphetamine residue)

• Remington, Model 870 semiauto 12 gauge shotgun (barrel sawed off/modified)
• Remington, Model 700 bolt action 30/06 caliber rifle
• Hi- Point, Model 955 semiauto 9mm rifle

• 2 counts distribution of a Schedule II Drug (Fentanyl), Charges from affidavit warrant

During a recorded Post-Miranda interview, Rhine allegedly stated he had knowledge of all the drugs that were located. Per EBRSO, Rhines stated all the narcotics located on his person and at his residence belonged to him and that two of the three firearms located were his.
According to EBRSO, Rhines has multiple previous convictions, including illegal possession of stolen things; attempted possession of cocaine; possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia; and possession with the intent to distribute a Schedule II Drug.
Rhines was released from active probation for the last conviction in November 2024, per EBRSO. The last narcotics-related conviction in 2018 prohibits Rhines from possessing a firearm.
