Man arrested in connection to Boardwalk Dr. shooting

A man was arrested for his alleged involvement in the Dec. 14 Boardwalk Dr. shooting where the victim died at the scene.

Maurice Mallory, 27, was arrested on Dec. 16 by the U.S Marshal’s Task Force in connection to the shooting and death of Sedrick Lewis. At the time of the Boardwalk Dr. shooting, the shooter was identified as a 27-year-old black male who had allegedly been in a physical altercation.

Mallory was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for the following charges:

  • 2nd Degree Murder
  • Felon in Possession of a Firearm
  • Illegal Use of a Weapon
