Man arrested on 6 counts of pornography involving juveniles

According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, a Baton Rouge man was arrested and charged with six counts of pornography involving juveniles.

Deputies arrested Travis Arseneault, 23, on August 11. Authorities say EBRSO and The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Unit reviewed a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) complaint produced by Instagram.

The affidavit for Arseneault’s arrest states two photos on Instagram were examples of child pornography. The photos are described as prepubescent females being sexually abused by Arseneault.

Authorities say Arseneault used his Snapchat account to solicit young girls who disclosed their age, but he continued to allegedly send nude pictures of himself. According to the affidavit, law enforcement found six videos of adults sexually abusing young children.

There were three videos of a female juvenile engaging in sexual conduct with a dog and conversations with Arseneault allegedly asking the girl for more videos and telling the juvenile he engages in sex with his dog.

The affidavit states there were several nude photographs Arseneault allegedly took of himself, focusing on his penis that he sent to other females without their consent.

He was booked in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.

Arseneault also faces these charges:

Five Counts: Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor (Felony)

Three Counts: Sexual Abuse of an Animal (Felony)
