A Mississippi man was sentenced to 99 years in prison after he was convicted of performing sexual acts with his granddaughter.
Percy Stalls, 72, was convicted of one count of aggravated crimes against nature involving incestuous sexual acts upon a minor, according to a press release from the 21st Judicial District.
Hammond Police arrested Stalls in 2018 for incidents that occurred in 2015 involving Stalls’ biological granddaughter, who was 12 years old at the time.
The trial began June 22, 2022, and the jury reached a unanimous verdict the next day after deliberating for a little over two hours.
At least 25 years of Stalls’ sentence will be served without parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.
