Man dies in police custody in East Feliciana Parish

Louisiana State Police are investigating a man’s death in East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office custody on July 19.

State Police said Jamie Wisham, 42, was arrested by the Jackson Police Department and booked into the East Feliciana Parish Jail on July 16.

On July 19, officials saw Wisham and he looked to be suffering from a medical issue. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

It is an ongoing investigation and further information will be released when it becomes available.
