Man hit and killed while crossing Airline Hwy.

BATON ROUGE, La. — Baton Rouge Police are investigating after a man was hit and killed trying to cross Airline Hwy. Saturday night.

Police say the crash happened in the 9900 block of Airline Hwy. near I-12. This is near Celebration Station.

Police say the crash involved a Ford F-150 pickup, a Ford Focus and a pedestrian, Patrick Patterson.

Patterson, 20, was hit by both vehicles while trying to cross Airline Hwy., investigators say. He was transported to the hospital where he died.

BRPD says this is an ongoing investigation. So far, there have been no charges in the case. Police have not identified the drivers of the vehicles.
