UPDATE | Man identified after body found in yard in Pointe Coupee Parish

MORGANZA — It was Tuesday morning when someone called 911 to report a body found in Pointe Coupee Parish.

Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff Rene Thibodeaux said an unresponsive man’s body was found in someone’s yard off of Hwy. 1 in Morganza on April 18th at approximately 7:50 a.m.

Authorities identified the man as Jason Patrick Dickinson, 47, of Morganza.

The coroner and the Pointe Coupee Sheriff’s Office are investigating the incident and at this time there are no signs of foul play. Sheriff Rene Thibodeaux said a toxicology test will be conduucted in hopes of determining the cause of death.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff’s Office.
