Man shot during attempted robbery in December dies from injuries

BATON ROUGE – Baton Rouge Police homicide detectives are investigating the shooting death of a 50-year-old man during an attempted armed robbery in December 2022.

Officials say Eishabazz Ferdinand was shot during the attempted armed robbery that occurred on Dec. 8 at around 2:09 a.m. in the 4800 block of Winbourne Ave.

Baton Rouge police say Ferdinand died on April 20 at a care facility.

Officials say the shooting suspect is unknown at this time. Anyone with information on this shooting/attempt armed robbery is urged to contact the Violent Crimes Division at (225)389-4869 or Crime Stoppers at (225)344-7867.
