ZACHARY —-East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s deputies are asking for the public’s help in finding a man accused of shooting and killing another man.
It was around 5:30 p.m. on Jan 2, 2025 when EBRSO deputies responded to 241 Plains Port Hudson Road.
Deputies say according to witness statements, Jeremy Wright, 34, was helping a relative and her boyfriend, Alex Senegal, 32, move from one trailer into another trailer.
Officials say that Senegal allegedly accused Wright of stealing his drugs. That’s when the two got into an argument, which ended with Senegal allegedly shooting Wright multiple times.
Wright was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries, but died at the hospital just three days prior to his 35th birthday.
Deputies now have a warrant for Senegal’s arrest, but he is on the run. He’s wanted for second-degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm.
