‘Masked suspects’ shoot at two people walking back to an apartment

BATON ROUGE — Two people were walking back to their apartment on Highland Rd. in Baton Rouge when they were shot at by masked men, according to police.

It was just before 3 a.m. on July 10 when Baton Rouge Police officers responded to the 5100 block of Highland Rd. for a shooting. UWK has learned the two victims were walking back to their apartment at the Hub Apartments on Highland Rd. BRPD says that’s when they were approached by ‘masked suspects’ who started shooting at them.

One of the two victims had a non-life threatening gunshot wound while the second person was not hit by any of the bullets. The shot victim was transported to a hospital.
