Matthew Mire placed at Angola’s maximum security

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office reports Mathew Mire has been placed into maximum security at Angola.

It comes after a request from Ascension Parish Sheriff Bobby Webre due to the severity of Mire’s Charges.

Mire was initially booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish jail after a manhunt lasting for several hours on Oct. 9th.
