LIVINGSTON — A Maurepas man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Livingston early Thursday morning, State Police confirm.
Jeremy Herrin, 46, died after being struck while traveling on LA 444 at LA 63 near French Settlement around 5:30 a.m.
According to State Police, Herrin was heading westbound on LA 444 when a Nissan Frontier traveling eastbound on the same road failed to yield while making a left turn onto LA 63. Investigators report that Herrin collided with the passenger side of the Nissan and was ejected from his motorcycle.
Herrin, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Nissan was not injured, according to State Police.
Although impairment is not suspected in this crash, standard toxicology samples were taken, troopers said. The crash remains under investigation, and no charges have been filed at this time.
