Memphis: Teen arrested after streaming shootings live on social media

Ezekiel Kelly, 19, was arrested just before 9:30pm on Wednesday, Sept. 7th after allegedly wreaking havoc in Memphis for nearly five hours.

It was around 4:30pm when Memphis Police alerted residents that the teen was armed and dangerous and on the run after multiple shootings that he allegedly streamed on social media.

It’s why police started telling people to stay indoors unless they absolutely had to get out before issuing a shelter in place for certain parts of Memphis around 9pm.

Police have said at least one person has died, possibly two.

Residents were asked to be on the lookout for a man in a light blue Infiniti with a red dealer tag and rear window busted out.

Because the suspect was just arrested, details on his charges and further information from police are pending.
