Baton Rouge police arrested a mother in the death of her infant son earlier this week.
Tiffany Thomason, 40, was arrested and charged with negligent homicide. The EBR Coroner’s Office ruled that the infant’s death was a result of a fentanyl overdose, according to authorities.

Officials say the case was previously being investigated as a co-sleeping death, however, the final toxicology report gave the investigating detectives the evidence needed to proceed with the charge of negligent homicide.
