A motorcycle crash killed a 53-yr-old from Jarreau in Pointe Coupee Parish Wednesday evening.
Louisiana State Police Troopers were called out around 8pm on Nov. 23rd to La 78 south of La 1.
Edward McMillian, III, 53, of Jarreau, died due to the crash.
The preliminary investigation revealed that McMillian was driving a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle headed north on LA 78. As of now, troopers said McMillian veered off the roadway to the right, hit a ditch, and then hit a private driveway. The impact ejected McMillian off his motorcycle.
McMillian was wearing a DOT approved helmet but died from his injuries on the scene. A toxicology sample was taken from McMillian and will be submitted for analysis.
This crash remains under investigation.
