BRPD officers responded to a shooting just before 9pm on Weller Ave. at the Weller Food Mart between Interstate 110 and Plank Rd.
Three people were shot. One person was found shot in the chest outside the store while two others were shot inside. Sources said there were several rounds fired.
This makes it to the 27th shooting in Baton Rouge since the start of 2022. Plus, there has been a shooting every single day since the new year. Currently, BR is averaging about two shootings per day.
