Multiple shots fired on Alvin Dark Tuesday morning

After nearly six hours, a standoff on Alvin Dark has ended with no suspect in the apartment.

It all started around 9am as two men started shooting at each other near the Tiger Plaza Apartments.

The call came from the 4400 block of Alvin Dark for shots fired, one person grazed by a bullet and at least an apartment and vehicle (Waste Management truck) struck by gunfire.

After the shooting, the gunman allegedly was armed and barricaded inside an apartment complex with a rifle. SWAT deployed what’s called a “flash bang.” Around 3pm, they realized no one was inside the apartment any longer.

At least one woman was grazed by a bullet and at least one bullet went through an apartment. Since then, others did tell officers that they too had bullet holes in their apartments and vehicles, including a garbage truck shot at.
