CENTRAL — The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office has charged seven students from a local high school after a fight broke out on campus.
It was around 8:30am on Monday, Aug. 21 when EBRSO got the call for a fight in a hallway at Central High School involving about half a dozen kids.

The cause of this fight remains under investigation at this time as deputies continue going through surveillance video from the school. As of now, EBRSO tells UWK that three students got into a fight with three other students. It’s unclear what the fight was over.
There are two school resources officers on the campus who stepped in to break up the fight immediately.
In total, seven students have been charged with misdemeanor disturbing the peace as deputies continue sorting out what happened. All seven students have been released to their parents.
Officials reported no injuries from the fight.
Central High School did advise parents that classes have resumed since the morning fight.
