missing woman Madison Allen

‘My daughter was taken from us’ | Mother desperately searching for daughter last seen in November 2023

ZACHARY — It’s been nearly two years since Madison Re’Nea Allen was last seen, and her family wants her back. Allen has been missing since November 2023 when her mother last spoke with her. It’s also when her friends reported seeing her last.

Allen’s mother, Lynn Rollins, spoke to UWK about her daughter and how she is still searching for answers in finding her.

At the time she went missing, Allen was 32 years old. She is 5’2″ and weighed 115 pounds in 2023. She has tattoos on both wrists, her thigh, and angel wings tattooed on her back between her shoulders.

The last time Rollins verbally spoke with her daughter was on Nov. 15, 2023, and then they texted one another on Thanksgiving that year. A few days after Thanksgiving, Rollins got a text from a different cell phone number claiming to be Allen.

On Nov. 29th, Rollins got the last text message from that number, which is the last time she’s had any contact with her daughter, and she’s still uncertain if it was actually Allen texting her.

The new phone number was allegedly registered to the man she was living with at the time, she added.

Allen had recently moved to Zachary, Rollins said, before she went missing. She had moved into a place on Ash Street (Zachary) in October 2023 with a man she’d only recently met at a gas station in Baton Rouge, her mother told UWK.

Because Rollins didn’t initially have Allen’s exact location, she started reaching out to Allen’s Facebook friends to see if they knew where she was. One of the people she reached out to happened to be the man that Allen was living with at the time, Rollins told UWK. But when she spoke to him on Facebook messenger, he didn’t say anything about Allen staying in the home, only that he was also looking for her.

“I found out shortly after that where she was staying through a text message my daughter had sent one of her friends saying that she was stuck there with the address,” Rollins explained.

The name of the man her daughter was living with was Thomas Morris, Rollins said.

In later online conversations, Morris told her that Allen had been staying there to help care for his kids and on November 29, 2023, she had packed up all her things and left while he was still at work. He also told investigators the same information at that time, Rollins said, but later changed the date and time of day when it happened in another conversation. In addition, he then said that Allen had left in an unidentifiable vehicle and left all her belongings at the house.

Allen was reported as “last seen on” November 29, 2023, by Zachary Police.

In their last phone conversation in November, Rollins said her daughter didn’t give any indication something could be wrong.

“When I spoke to her on the phone, November 15th of 2023 she was fine. She gave me no indication that anything was wrong. She was going to go back to school, and she was going to get a job.”

Rollins told UWK that she has not spoken with Thomas Morris in a while; their last conversation over Facebook messaging was when Morris sent her screenshots of a job interview that her daughter was allegedly going to around the time she went missing. However, Allen never made it to that job interview.

Rollins said over time, there have been some tips that came in, but nothing has brought Allen back home, and it’s been nearly two years now. Zachary Police are still investigating.

“My daughter’s still missing; no one has come forward. We have received some information police are checking into, but no one has come forward to say they know exactly what happened,” she said.

Allen’s 34th birthday was Aug. 1st, Rollins shared on social media.

“Instead of my daughter celebrating her birthday with family and friends and all that love her and care about her, she’s missing,” she shared in a video message. “My daughter was taken from us, and I want her back.”

According to arrest records, Morris was arrested on Oct. 24, 2024, on domestic abuse battery/strangulation of a different woman living with him. A judge granted the victim a protective order against Morris at that time, set to expire one year later. The order was dissolved in June 2025, according to court records.
