Naked man accused of attempted sexual abuse of animal, identified

RAGE HEWITT (OLD MUG SHOT)

The Baton Rouge Police Dept. has identified the man whose pictures showed him running naked around a dog.

Rage Hewitt, 28, is accused of entering a business in the 3400 block of Cedarcrest on May 20, 2022 without the owner’s consent. He’s also wanted for attempted sexual abuse of an animal.

The circumstances of the charges are not clear just yet, but will be released as soon as Unfiltered with Kiran has them confirmed.

Sources said BRPD is in the process of drawing up an arrest warrant on Hewitt. (The above mug shot is from a previous arrest)

This will be Hewitt’s 6th arrest since 2015. He’s been arrested at least five times prior to this alleged incident.

In 2021, Hewitt was arrested for simply robbery and second degree battery.

In 2018, he was booked for misdemeanor theft and criminal trespassing.

In 2016, he was arrested for home invasion and simple battery. A few months before that, he was arrested as a fugitive out of another jurisdiction.

A year prior in 2015, he was charged with careless driving, distribution and manufacturing of drugs & delinquency of a juvenile.
