Just around 7am, power went out for nearly 2,400 people in Livingston Parish, mainly in Denham Springs & Walker.
As of Noon, Entergy said they have restored about half out the outages. For the remaining nearly 1,200, there is no timeframe just yet for a restoration.
“Crews were able to identify an issue with a piece of equipment at a local substation and are working quickly and safely to restore power. They were able to perform field switching (or rerouting of power) to restore some customers and are working to restore the remaining,” said David Freese with Entergy.
