Nearly 45 shell casings found after a shoot out on N. Ardenwood

A late night shooting on N. Ardenwood left dozens of shell casings behind and three vehicles shot up.

Just before 11pm on April 1, 2022, Baton Rouge Police officers responded to the Ardenwood Village apartments on N. Ardenwood for a reported shoot out.

The department received several calls for a shots fired and even a vehicle that crashed into an apartment building.

When officers arrived on scene, they did not locate any shooting victim but did find nearly 45 shell casings, three vehicles that had been shot up and two apartments with bullet holes.

Of the three vehicles hit, it appears one may be stolen.

Anyone with details on this shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP.
