NEW ROADS —- A former New Roads Police officer was arrested on Saturday, July 20th, accused of raping a juvenile, according to officials.
Kedreyon Williams was arrested by the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff’s Office Saturday evening.
It comes after the New Roads Police Department requested the Pointe Coupee Sheriff’s Office to investigate possible charges involving Williams.
The sheriff’s office says Kedreyon Williams was arrested and charged with first-degree rape of a victim under 13, first-degree rape armed with a dangerous weapon, indecent behavior with a juvenile and pornography involving a juvenile.
The victim’s family tells UWK the alleged abuse was ongoing for roughly three years. The victim’s name and specific age are being withheld for their protection.
PCSO has not released more details into their investigation at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.
Records show that Kedreyon Williams was employed as a part-time officer with the New Roads Police Department from October of 2017 until May of 2019
