BATON ROUGE — Ochsner Medical Center — Baton Rouge was just named to Forbes’ first-ever national list of Top Hospitals for 2026, recognizing strong performance in quality, patient experience, value, and best practices.
Forbes created the list to help people navigate the healthcare system and find high-performing hospitals. The rating system was created with healthcare measurement experts and is built on validated data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Provider Data Catalog.

Approximately 5,400 general acute care hospitals were eligible for consideration. From there, 2,500 general acute care hospitals met the initial criteria for consideration.
Ochsner Baton Rouge earned a 4-star rating overall, with 3-stars for outcomes and values, and 4-stars for best practices and patient experience.
“This is a great honor for the hospital and speaks to all the incredible work from everyone on our team,” says Chuck Daigle, CEO, Ochsner Baton Rouge. “We’re especially proud of our performance with patient experience and quality metrics. At Ochsner, patients are always our top priority.”
