Three babies have been injured or died in a matter of three days from drownings.
The most recent was on Friday in Livingston Parish. An 18-month-old boy fell in a pool in the Three Lakes neighborhood in Walker. That happened around 3 a.m. on Friday, April 5. The little boy was rushed to a hospital and is improving.
On Thursday, April 4, a little girl died in False River.
On Wednesday, Baylee Doss, 3, of Addis, fell in a neighborhood pool on April 3rd and died from her injuries. Her funeral is scheduled for Monday, April 8, 2024.
As summer approaches, officials are stressing to everyone to keep extra close eyes on children, especially near water.
