Officials responding to fight & stabbing at Capitol Middle School

BATON ROUGE, La. — Multiple law enforcement officials are currently at Capitol Middle School on Greenwell Springs Rd. after a reported stabbing.

It happened around 11:30am on Monday, March 13 off of N. Foster near Choctaw Dr.

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office school board security officer called in for a potential stabbing at Capitol Middle School. That’s when EBRSO deputies and BRPD officers responded to the school to help the security detail.

Two sixth graders were involved in a fight that led to a sixth grader cut. Another sixth grader was arrested and charged with aggravated second-degree battery.

EMS also responded to the scene. A sixth grader was transported with minor injuries.
