JUNE 27 UPDATE
Wildlife & Fisheries reports they have now recovered all three bodies from Lake Maurepas.
The bodies of the 18-yr-old & 20-yr-old were found around 6:30pm near each other. Officials recovered the body of the 48-yr-old man around 9:45am on June 27th.
Although names of all three men have been published, the family has asked for the names not to be released yet and to please respect their privacy. It’s why Unfiltered with Kiran is choosing not to name the men at this time.
WLF agents now say they learned that the 18-yr-old was swimming when he became distressed. The 20-yr-old tried to rescue him but was also in distress. That’s when the 48-yr-old tried to rescue both young men, but was unsuccessful and the three men did not resurface.
The men were a father & son and their daughter/sister’s boyfriend.
