DENHAM SPRINGS — A two vehicle crash on Wednesday on Highway 16 has claimed the life of a man.
It was around 11:30 a.m. on Hwy. 16 & Gill Road, near the Neighborhood Walmart, when troopers say 79-year-old Billy Deloach was driving a 1997 Ford Ranger and pulled out in front of a vehicle with two teenagers. That truck flipped and ejected Deloach.
Deloach was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition, but did not survive his injuries.
The driver and passenger from the car did not require medical attention.
State Police is leading the investigation into the crash.
