One person rushed to hospital after crash involving a tree

EAST BATON ROUGE — One person was airlifted to a hospital after a crash Monday morning.

Early reports are the driver of an unknown vehicle crashed into a tree near the intersection of Hwy. 64 (Greenwell Springs Port Hudson Rd.) & Liberty Rd. around 7:45 a.m. on Monday, June 24.

The driver was airlifted to a hospital, but their current condition is unknown at this time.

The crash happened inside East Baton Rouge Parish, close to Central. The Louisiana State Police is leading the investigation into the crash.

At this time, no further details have been released including what led up to the crash or the name of the person involved.
