Over 20 rounds fired in Ascension drive-by shooting

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating an early morning drive-by shooting in Prairieville.

It happened at 5:39 am on Levern Stafford Road in Prairieville.

Several neighbors home surveillance systems picked up the shots fired. More than 20 rounds in total were fired in the drive-by shooting at a trailer.

Officials said the trailer was hit eight times by gunfire. Thankfully, no one was injured in the shooting. The trailer was occupied at the time of the shooting.

Anyone with information who could assist detectives is urged to call the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office anonymously at 225-621-4636 or by texting 847411 to the anonymous tip line from any cellular device or Crime Stoppers at 225-344-STOP (7867). You must call Capital Region Crime Stoppers to receive a cash reward.
