Parish-by-parish: Thousands in the dark as storms roll through

LOUISIANA —- A strong line of storms moved through southeast Louisiana Thursday night, just days after many spent the last few days cleaning up after Monday’s deadly storms.

A UWK viewer sent in viewer showing what appears to be a funnel cloud in Krotz Springs with people reporting their roofs having peeled off.

Demco and Entergy are currently responding to multiple parishes with thousands of people in the dark. Demco is reporting roughly 4,000 homes and businesses still without power as of 11:30 a.m. with nearly 2,000 of the outages in each Livingston & East Baton Rouge Parishes.

Entergy meanwhile is reporting nearly 31,000 power outages through the entire state, down from 62,000 at the peak of the storm.
