Parts of Central without power

A truck ran into a power utility pole in Central causing an outage for nearly 1,500 people.

The wreck happened at Sullivan and Sparkle, that’s near Greenwell Springs & Sullivan.

The outage is impacting roughly 1,500 people on Sullivan and neighboring streets between Greenwell Springs and Hooper.

Traffic lights are out as well and drivers are asked to treat the stop lights as a 4-way stop.

The driver of the truck has minor injuries.

Power is expected to be back up around 10:30am.
