IBERVILLE PARISH — A 41-year-old man is facing multiple charges including attempted murder after a shooting in north Plaquemine on Wednesday evening.
Eric Goss, 41, was arrested after a two-hour standoff inside a home in Baton Rouge. Friday morning, the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office added charges for him.
It was around 6:45 p.m. on Feb. 11th when Iberville Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home on Nicholas Street. At the scene, deputies found the victim shot multiple times. He was transported to a hospital and last listed in stable condition.
Goss was identified as the suspect with a warrant issued for his arrest. Deputies tracked down Goss to a home in Baton Rouge. With the help of BRPD officers and after a 2.5-hour standoff, Iberville deputies say Goss surrendered to law enforcement.
He was initially booked into the EBR Parish Prison as a fugitive for Iberville Parish. He has since been transported to Iberville where he’s facing multiple charges in connection to the incident.

- 2 counts of aggravated assault with a firearm
- 1 count of domestic abuse
- 2 counts of simple battery
- 1 count of theft of a firearm
