Point Coupee Parish Election; Two of three council seats up for run-off

NEW ROADS — Two out of the three Parish Council seats will face a run-off on November 18. Jimmie Gaspard secured District A.

Parish Council

District A

Jimmie Gaspard defeated William Derozan, Jr. and Adrianne Williams for the District A seat. He won by 54.63%.

District C

Edward Bazile (D) and Albert Davis (D) will face a run-off for District C. Bazile is narrowly in the lead with 47.34% of the vote and Davis tailing behind with 40.28%.

District D

Justin Deville (Ind.) and Charles Watkins (D) will face a run-off for District D. Deville, an independent party member, is in the lead with 30.36% of the vote and Watkins behind with 28.54%.
