Pointe Coupee: 18-wheeler crashes into barrier on Hwy. 190

LIVONIA — Highway 190 is down to one lane in each direction after a crash involving an 18-wheeler on Tuesday afternoon.

The single-vehicle crash happened around 12:15 p.m. on May 19. Pointe Coupee Sheriff Rene Thibodeaux says the 18-wheeler’s driver crashed into the barrier between the eastbound and westbound lanes.

At this time, no injuries have been reported.

One lane of traffic in each direction is shut down due to the crash and debris in the roadway.

No details have been released at this time into what led up to the crash.
